Ah, Thanksgiving!  The turkey tasty, the conversation lively, the weather just this side of perfect.  Our new home housed three of the kids and several of their friends this weekend.  I kept the radio off, except for holiday music.  No politics, no heated discussions or worrying over the coming battle.  Just foooood.  And busy, busy, busy stuff. 

Dinner survived the common glitches (oh, how I long for a double-decker oven!), most of the dishes and all of the silverware matched, and the company was pleasant.  The one reliable component, Bad Puns and/or jokes, was in attendance as well, so I proceed...
My college girl quoted a sign they put up near her dorm:
"Knowledge is Power, and Power Corrupts... so Study Hard and be Evil"
Upon hearing this, my second son got up from the table, lay down on the floor, wrapped himself up in the fetal position, and moaned softly, 'Noooooooo'.  That was even better than Bart Simpson's tight-eyed, hunched-over, visible shudder.  Of course, this is the same kid who, at age 12, did something nearly as bad:
The 8-ounce Hershey bar I'd gotten him was gone by next day.  When I queried, 'What?!  Already?', he responded, 'Don't be sad, Mom...It's gone to a better place.'

Not that I'm complaining, mind you.

Two wonderful events have made life more interesting and fun lately:  Harry Reid's nuttiness and Miz Hil'ry's campaign contribution shenanigans. 

On Reid, I ask, 'Where can I find a stuffed weasel to send him?'  The man has no shame, and is easy to catch in a lie.  If he were to go out to Wally-World and buy a clue, he could save himself a lot of embarrassment.

Hillary wants power at all costs.  She believes her entitlement to the crown relieves her of all accountability, no matter how felonious the act.  Bimbo eruptions were met with threatening phone calls and worse.  Contributions were extracted forcefully (tho later reimbursed) from legal or otherwise residents of downtown NYC.  Where did the money to be laundered start from?  1992 showed only the tip of the scandal iceberg.  Please, let's not travel that road again.

It's a pleasure to write out these thoughts on my own little spot...it feels like being in my garden, checking on what's growing, what's eating, and what needs weeding.  Let the sun shine on it, and bring delight to others.
